"GROOVY TOWNE " Ent.

The name "Groovy Towne" comes from a  psychedelic, rock album from 1968 called "A Giant Crab Comes Forth". The album, written by Giant Crab, was discovered by Ziegler, Roman, and Smith during the pandemic. The three fell in love with the music and since then, the album has become an icon in both their personal and creative lives. In 2021, the creative team decided to create a film inspired by the 1960s album -- which became Fortunate Sons. It was only right to name the company after the song "Groovy Towne".

beginnings

The founding members of the production company met in a high school located in Waxhaw, North Carolina. The group of creatives met through classes and extra-curriculars dedicated to theatre, film, and music. Now, the members continue to work together and have formed different branches of production, such as film, "2410 Pictures", animation (led by Tucker Ziegler), and music "D-C" (Damian Drakeford and Christian Phelps).
